New from Oklahoma!

I am new to this forum...

Alittle about me... when I was a kid I WANTED a horse SO bad... but never got one... as an adult, I did get a mare... she plow reigned.. bucked.. threw me... pushed me over to get to feed, out the gate, in the gate, where ever she happened to be going... and I LOVED having her so much, I didn't care! Sounds crazy probably, but it is true. I was scared to death but at the same time I loved it. I moved to Oklahoma and my father told me I could keep her on some of his land... long story short she chased cows he sold her without telling me, I came to take care of her and she was gone! Terrible heart breaking situation..

Fast forward 14 years....

I bought a new house :) with land. My father has a horse (I don't know how he got it) but he wanted it gone... I took pity on it and brought it to my home... was told he was 'kid broke' 'they rode him bareback!' Now, many rides later, one rider being bucked off, any many attempts to buck someone off.. we're making progress! So I have a sorrel quarter horse named Kenny!

My brother brought his over, (his was at my fathers also) a TN Walker.. he is broke, gentle and pretty... so now I have 2 horses!

My husband decided to buy me a beautiful little paint horse.. she is beautiful.. I rode her at the guys house whom I bought her from, she was agile and quick... rode great! Now that she is here, let's just say I am certainly challenged when I ride her... but I am on a learning curve.

I didn't learn correctly the first time... so suddenly I have 3 wonderful horses.. and a huge gap of information.. so I am here to learn all that I can about the one thing that I truely love and enjoy. I have learned alot already and appreciate everyone who posts such great information and shares stories and picures of their horses!
