New rider. Needing lots of help.

Hey. My name is Jason and I just got my first horse on Christmas. We had horses when I was little, around five or six, but this is the first time I have had my own.

His name is Ziggy. He is a twelve year old paint. He was gelded about ten I believe. We believe he was abused before we got him and he is extremely head shy.

He's pretty cool, just found out what an apple and carrot were. Think he has some trust issues.

But I got lots of questions. Which I guess I am suppose to post in other areas. Thanks!

Welcome! Congrats on the new horsey. Lots of love, patience, and bulding trust. Lots of other stuff too hehe, but just take it slow. Good luck!
