Newbie from Australia!

Hi all!

Just found this site today, and I think it's fantastic :]

I live in Canberra, Australia and I have three horses, An 11 year old, 14hh chestnut arab, Wildey, a 13hh bay english riding pony, Bugsy, and a 16hh chocolate bay Australian Stock Horse, Vodka.

I ride in anything that comes up, but at the moment i'm mostly doing mounted games, which is one discipline I havn't seen much of on here!

Anyway, looking forward to reading all the interesting tidbits and maybe giving some advice :]

Thanks!

Mounted Games is hard to explain... lol.
Its games on horses, as the name suggests.
Each game consists of different skills, putting balls on cones, flags in cones, bending, vaulting on and off at speed, all done very fast.
Its normally played as a team of five, in a klind of relay form, with four riders participating in each arce, allowing you to choose the four strongest in each race. Its really fast paced, and once you get into the higher level really very complex, the tiniest incorrect aid or split second timing can change the outcome of a race.

Its excellent for spectators, and I love it, good for the adrenalin junkies out there :]

Australia is actually hosting the world team championships this year, going to be amazing!
