Smile Newbie from Texas!

Hi everyone!

Just found this forum and wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

I grew up around horses but as an adult, it's been quite a few years since I've had my own. We recently moved to TX from NH (big change!!....but I love it!) and have room for horses, and I'll be bringing my first one home in just a few weeks!

My past experience with riding was always English - specifically dressage and combined training. But I am switching gears now and would like to just relax a bit and enjoy my horse. If anything, I'd like to look into the possibility of distance riding.

I feel like I'm a bit "out of the loop" with horses, since I've been away for so long, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it and
I'm looking forward to getting to know some folks and sharing horse stories and info!

Hey there and welcome from sunny South Carolina! I am sure you will be able to find answers to any questions you may have about horses here on THF! That's exciting that you are getting a horse! I have 2 retired Quarter Horses and 2 Paints that I trail ride. What breed are you going to get?

Hi, and welcome to the forum (I'm also new here )

Let's see some pictures of your horse, when he/she comes home to you.

Good luck!

I'm getting an Arab....he's in the process of being brought back from a bit of neglect......but he will be just stunning! He's a Polish Arab, which is a bit more on the athletic side than the very refined Egyptians.
