    Hi there,

I have always loved horses and spent time learning horse vaulting when I was younger living in California. We moved to Vermont, and I didn't have access to horses. Then I met my husband and his mother has 8 arabs, and she asks me to go riding with her all the time and I just love it. So I don't actually own a horse, but I help her with hers and I ride a 7 year old named Hameed. He is a bay and is just as sweet as pie. It's been so long since I've done anything with horses that I had to learn how to do it all over again, like putting on the saddle/bridle and all the horse terms. Sounds pathetic, but I JUST LEARNED how to tie a quick release knot! Sad huh?

I had a fall a few weeks ago (the horse slipped on a muddy rock and down we both went) but we're both okay now and went riding again last Saturday. I didn't let the fall bother me one bit. We're going again in two weeks on a benefit ride and can't wait.

Glad to be part of the community and hope to become friends with a lot of you.

    Hello and welcome!

None of that sounds sad! We've all been there before. ;].

I'm Mandi, 16. Born and raised around Arabs and Half Arabs. Currently own an Appy/Arab mare and a Half Arab gelding. Don't compete, just ride for pleasure. Mainly english (jumping = FUN) and a little western. Our Half Arab is so tiny my eglish saddle just won't fit him.. And the horn always comes in handy when he decides to try out his skills as a bronc. Which he does often. Little brat. Lol. And I hate to say he's pretty good at it.

    Have fun around here!
