A Nice Hello from Tualatin, Oregon

    Hello! :)

I will start of by saying that currently I do not own or ride a horse. I used to a few years ago, but I am taking a financial break. I recently got married on June 23, 2007. I am a nail technician at a beautiful spa in tualatin, oregon. I am also a dressage show groom. I love to groom horses, the bonding is so important and it's so nice to have that feeling of calmness between you and your horse. I am possibly going into the field of horse massage too. I have not quite decided though if there is a strong need for it in my area.

I have had two horses in my life so far.

My first horse was a POA named Spotsy. He was my "no boys only horses" friend in the awkward middle school years. I did some little schooling shows but eventually ended up doing barrel racing and other such horse games. We are pictured here at our last show together. We got reserve grand champion! :)

My second horse was a half Ahkel teke, half spanish barb named Bella Mia. She was given to me by my grandmother from South Dakota when she was 4 and never been gentled. I was just entering high school, so it was a large triumph for me to be the one to gentle her and teach her to carry a rider at that age. I learned through her that I much preferred to train horses then seriously show them. By my graduation she was a very well mannered and respected horse at the barn. I ended up selling her to go to college, she is now a trusted trail buddy.

So, here I am, 3 years later, horseless but still madly in love with them.

I have a large intrest in mustangs. I long to build a stable designed with thier special training needs in mind. I believe that more people will want to expierience the mustangs if they had them already gentled. It takes a lot to gentle them, and although I haven't gotten to try it yet, I have a great desire to, and believe that I could do it well.

Well, that's that I guess! Can't wait to chit chat with all of you about horses!

    Congratulations on you marriage.

And welcome to the Horseforum. I live in the UK so don't know a great deal about Mustangs, I only know what I've read. There are many mustang lovers on here though, who I'm sure you will bump into around the threads.

    Hello and welcome!

I've never had a horse, and am only beginning to think of learning to really ride. But I'm moving to a place in Washington state, north of Spokane, and will be helping some of my new friends with their horses. Among them are two mustangs. One is gentle and the other is still nervous around people. If you're ever up in this area, I'd be happy to introduce you and show you the mountain and their horses!
