Please help

I am new and I need some help. I have been searching the internet for a breed/type of horse referred to as Graff or Gaff. My son was telling me about them and I can't find any information. Please let me know what you know about them.
Thank you very much.

As far as I can tell Gaff is a Thoroughbred stallion(I think he's a stallion...) Yup he's a studly!

Sorry to confuse you. Jonah was at a farm and the man told him that he had a mare and filly for sale. He called them Gaff or Graff. I have never heard of this breed. I am wondering if it is a slang name for one. I am clueless at this point.
Thanks for trying.

Hmm, Could he have said draft and your son just misunderstood what he said?

Or he could have said they were Gaff decendants? I love when horsey people start throwing around names and try to look smart in front of people who don't know what the eff they are talking about ;) "Yep, the filly's mom is a Gaff mare"... To a newbie, it could sound like a Gaff mare is the breed... when really, the guy meant that is who the dam's sire was? Do you think it could have been that sort of an interaction?

Thank you both. Either one of you could be correct. My son knows enough about horses to be dangerous. Sorry to say, I am not as horse smart as I would like to be but I do ask smarter people when I need help.
Thank you for being smarter.
Have a great day.
