A Yooper Checking In

Hello from the UP of Michigan! This forum seemed like a decent place to join up with, so here I am. I'd done some lurking, just hadn't committed to registering until today.

After a ten year hiatus from everything equine, I am going to be back in the saddle! I'll actually be taking lessons (English) from my neighbor 1/4 a mile away! The plan is to relearn all I need to relearn, then eventually add a draft cross to the family. My neighbor also does boarding, which is nice. All my fenced in area is for my Nigerian Dwarf goats!

It'll be a little challenging, going back to square one when it comes riding! Last time I rode I was a teen!

Lessons start on Monday, so this is one excited Yooper!

yoop yoop. I was a Michigander until 2010. I saw your forum name and said, HEY!! A U-P- er. Spent many a summer in the eastern half of the UP. Love the falls!

Welcome.

Has it started to snow yet?

Welcome to the forum!:)

So in lies the madness, the pursuit of the impossible in the face of the complete assurance that you will fail, and yet still you chase.

Once a Michigander, always a Michigander! And thankfully, it has not yet started to snow! A few nippy mornings and light frosts, but winter isn't here yet!

Welcome to the board...and back to the world of riding!
