My name is Makayla, I'm 17 and from Michigan!
Our little hobby 'ranch' is called SonDancer'Z ranch, hence the title of this thread. The reason we named it this was because our first two horses we got were named Sonny (RIP <3) and Dancer, and then our third horse, my baby <3, is named Zee :)
This will just be a little place for me record the training and riding and adventures we have with our girls!
Currently we have three horses, Raja, Dancer, and Zee.
Raja is my mothers horse. She is a fleabitten gray with a white blaze (its hard to see :P), and is approximately 10 years old. She's a rescue from a home that didn't take good care of her. She had little food, there didn't seem to be any water. She had no shelter, as she had eaten in from boredom/hunger. She was very scared of people, and is still adjusting. It's nearly been a year since we had her. And progress has been slow, as someone had said they were willing to take on the responsibility but didn't (we tried to give them a fair chance at working with her before we took over)
Zee is my own horse. She is a breeding stock paint, having a star and fetlock for markings. I got her when she was a yearling, and trained and raised her myself. She's very curious, and loves to get her rump rubbed. To the point she'll back up into you! She's really cuddly and lovable, though she didn't start out that way. It's been such a wonderful journey. She's going to be 5 this year, and i'm so proud of the progress she has made.
Dancer is my aunt/cousins horse. She's a chestnut american paint, though her only markings are the blaze on her face, a small patch on her belly, and these little dots she gets of white in the summer. She's one of our 'originals'. Meaning she was one of the first two horses we got! :3 we had gotten Dancer and Sonny together. She's going to be 21 this year, and she's still in wonderful shape. She isn't an easy keeper, and seems to be accident prone. She's kind of grumpy but an excellent ride. She's sweet deep down <3 Grumpy old lady XD
I think that's a nice introduction? By the way! All credits for images goes to my awesome talented cousin!
