Talking Confessions of a Teenage Procrastinator... with horses(:

So I've never really had an online journal or blog.. so this will be something new for me It may take some getting used to because I haven't really talked about my life to complete strangers before. Why am I doing this you might ask? Well this idea came to me today:

I am a huge Huge HUGE procrastinator (hince the title) and its starting to get to the breaking point. If i don't do something now I may just be a last-minuter for the rest of my life! Well I am going to use this journal to document my process of beating this issue from my brain. Heck, and maybe even help some of my fellow peers on the Horse Forum who might be battling with the constant "maybe later.." feeling in the back of their head too.

Well this journal won't just be about my problem, but also about my horses and my dreams... One day I am going to be a famous horse trainer, I just have one of those feelings about it, so this will also help me remember my youth and how it all started! Silly.. I know, but a girl can dream okay!? My current progress:

Right now I am doing barrels with my horse Tiger. My heart's desire is to do reining with him but I'm not sure that's going to happen any time soon. For the mean time I want to get back to English (I haven't ridden English in like 3 years) and maybe try some jumping and who knows maybe even DRESSAGE! Yeah I said it!!!: A barrel horse is going to do dressage! He is soooo smart and I know he can do it though.

Well my other horse Pepper is just kind of a pasture horse right now, except for the occasional trail challenges. To read his full story, visit my barn and click on Just a Peppered Pretty Boy.

Gizmo is my pony.. has been for around six or seven years and always will be. A little girl is riding him now for me, and he's doing great. I am so proud of him! He has always been an English pony but in the past couple of years transformed into a great western pleasure pony. He's nineteen.. so hes getting older but hes still in great shape.

Well that's it for now! Hope I didn't bore your ears off. Check back in but don't count on it anytime soon, I'll try but you know its a PROCRASTINATOR talking! Haha TTYL

One thing I've learned working with horses: You can FORCE a horse to do something on a tight rein and he might do what you ask or you can TEACH a horse to do something on a loose rein and he will do it willingly with his heart.

Haha joking!

So just kidding, I am going to post something else today. Here's my current progress on beating procrastination:

I made my first checklist today! You see I am doing school online this year (my first and last year doing it too!) and am wayyyy behind in my courses. I will have to work through the summer sadly but I need to finish by August because I am going back to REAL school. I don't stick to a schedule very easily so I decided to make a checklist instead today. It was going pretty good, I didn't finish everything on there but atleast I made a start. Up next: punishing myself (no facebook, horse forum, or extra time with horses ) if I don't finish everything on my list for the day.

Tip #1 for procrastinators: If schedules don't work for you try checklists instead You will find that you can get more accomplished and you don't have to stick to a routine.

Okie dokie, ta-ta for now fellow procrastinators!
