We will see how long this lasts - I'm notoriously horrible at keeping diaries, but I figure I may as well *try* with Josie.

To start: Josie (reg as J'Adore) is a 2014 KWPN filly. She stands about 15hh as a yearling.
She arrived yesterday at midnight. My BO says that she came right off the trailer without any issues and walked right into the barn and into her stall without any hesitation or issues. Very impressed with her right off the bat. Yesterday we just let her settle in and become accustomed to her new home.
Today we went out on a trail in-hand. She was a freaking superstar. We went past many things that *most* youngsters would look at or freak out about. She sometimes had a little look, but did not once shy away or become stupid. I know many yearlings that would have been on their back legs a few times with the things we saw - we went past dumpsters, deer, quail, an active commercial bee operation, and even a llama. She only once had a bit of a "moment" (dare I even say that - she threw her head around and danced in a half circle, then settled right back down.)
She was a freaking rockstar.
Oh, and she saw the indoor arena for the first time as well, and that was totally cool too. We chased a ball around the arena a bit and walked over some ribbon laying on the ground - not an issue at all.
Fly spray is a bit scary at the moment.. as are ropes on her haunches. Those are her only two things at the moment. Scissors on her mane and face are a non-issue.
This mare is B-R-A-V-E. So cool. I'm so ecstatic about her.
