Dear e-diary, plus whoever the heck else wants to read,
Had a great ride with Rainy today. Rode in the outdoor and did okay after a nice long warm up. Bucked (or kicked? couldn't really tell) while cantering, but finally got her to do about a half a round collected. It was fun, and we both enjoyed our cool-down on trails. Even if I got a little muddy. ;] Older sis wasn't too pleased to have it in her car though! Haha.
In other news, I still don't know if we're buying Rainy. I hope so with all my might. I just don't know what I'll do if we don't. I won't be able to stand seeing her go to someone else, all my hard work wasted. And then I'll be stuck doing it all over again, no doubt! I really don't want to re-work ANOTHER horse for show team! =P Let's see, by now I've:
-Encouraged boring Boomer to trot at a semi-fast (for him) pace
-Gotten Pepper to canter correctly (after ONE ride)
-And completely re-trained and turned around my little bay monster named Rainy
I'm not starting over AGAIN. Not after all the work I've put in with her! Ugh! Well, I'll find out what's going to happen soon, my birthday (celebration, at least) is this weekend. We'll see what happens...
Meanwhile, I'm still pondering what breeds Rainy has in her. We know for sure Quarter Horse (duh!) and throughbred, because Hayley (her mom) was an Appendix. But ivorygold1195 (she's my friend who goes to the same barn) thinks she has Morgan in her too. From what I've heard about Morgans' attitudes, that doesn't surprise me. I wish there was a way to know for sure...=P
Anyway, suspense will haunt me for a few more days...
