This is mainly for me to gather my thoughts all into one place when it comes to things on my mind about my horses - that way I can remember specific things and revisit old ideas.
So, the thing on my mind now is Cavalina's Future Event Horse championships. It's on Oct. 29 in Lexington, VA... 4 hours away. Part of me has a "wow, she's looking great" moment everytime I see her, while another part of me goes "yep, definitely an awkward yearling..." So, here's hoping she still manages to do well. I may be a bit crazy for taking her 4 hours for all of 10-15 minutes in the ring? One in-hand class? But oh well, it'll be interesting to see how she does.
I thought about using a handler, but decided against it... I took her to reserve champion at Loch Moy, so hopefully we can have a repeat ;)
Gotta have Tater come out to trim her next week to bring her toes in a bit more beforehand.
