The Porkchop Pony Guide to Weight Loss!

Long story short, Indyhorse and I snagged Willow aka Porkchop aka McNugget aka Wide Load from a horse auction last week. She's a haffie cross and insanely obese as clearly evidenced by her huge cresty neck and mondo ghetto booty! To hopefully prevent any health issues, we are trying to get her to a reasonable weight as soon as possible.

We've started this by riding her every day until she breaks a sweat which as of right now is really only about 15-20 minutes. The first 5 minutes she is full of p!ss and vinegar, tossing bucks and other attitude to express her displeasure LOL. Her bucks right now are comical as she can barely get her fat butt more than 5-6 inches off the ground.

We're starting to use a grazing muzzle on her to help control her weight a bit more. She didn't care for it too much today and was tossing her head. Claymore was sniffing it and trying to figure out what it was LOL.

I gotta give this girl credit. She loves to be spoiled! I brushed her and braided her mane and she just closed her eyes and kept leaning her head on me. Showed her softer side :)

Here's some pics from today!
