Anyways, was excited to go see my boys this morning got all ready and dressed to go, got out there and managed to lock my keys in my car. Calmed down after that grabbed Charlie Boy, groomed him and gave him some loving and turned him back out with some treats and grain. Then grabbed Rocky, he was a bit stubborn coming in but managed to get him in. Tied him and he stood patiently while I groomed and tried to turn his "white" back to what white should look like, picked one of his hooves as he was being stubborn with the rest, and was scared to be in the barn with all the wind. Snow storm is blowing in tomorrow so I did all I could today. So, then let him out after giving him some loving too. I turned around hearing a horse come charging towards me and it was ROCKY! Of all of them the littlest, usually sweetest guy had turned on me. I'm thinking it's his hormones, his other ball dropped yesterday. That's the first time I've been scared in a long time, he charged me ears pinned, teeth showing and feet moving so fast I thought he was dancing. I stood my ground, yelled WHOA and swung the lead rope. He huffed ran away, and came at me again. I stood my ground again, and he backed off. What a feisty boy. Discouraged after he had settled I left. Only to come back a while late because I was so unhappy with how he acted. When I got back out I walked right up to him with no issues! He was fine, I rubbed all over him, he pinned his ears for a bit. Then went back to munching on hay, like nothing had ever happened. Rough start to my day, but we're working through it. His gelding appointment is scheduled and I'm glad. I've delt with loads of colts, but never a STUD colt. Now I know why people don't hesitate to geld...
Well here are some pictures from my second visit, after Rocky went back to his normal self.
He decides to stand right in the middle of the hay.
His mane is so cool, one little black streak that look like a highlight and a black patch that hangs over his eyes. (:
Barney the mini, enjoying some lunch.
This picture got stretched, so Charlie looks funny.
My arab man, Charlie again.
This guy had been enjoying a nap before his picture, not my guy but here's Desperado.
