Sleipnir's log

would probably help me a lot if I can remember to keep track of the baby's

I purchased Sleipnir back in June, a week or two after he officially turned
2. He was a colt, and unregistered as he would never make it to the track due
to an enlarged hock, a result of a former injury involving wire. Had him
gelded, let him settle, and now we're in the ground work and lunging phase of
training. hoping to start him under saddle around spring time. Myself and a
couple other people have been up on him walking around, but that's the extent of it. He needs more time physically and especially mentally, before he's ready to start up

the boy is home!

playing with him on the ground

fiancÚ loving on the baby

thanks :)

today was kind of a "human catapult"'s cold and windy, i was today was a ground work day, working on standing, moving over and back off of pressure, bending, stretching and in-hand work for showing next season. finishing with me literally catapulting myself into his side from various places around him.

sometimes my methods can be a bit ....odd....but i have some incredibly tolerant horses who don't spook at i justify my actions xD
