Shame shame, but Jester is lame.

My lover horse has pulled a sprain. At least the vet says he very well could be okay for the game day at the expo. I hope so, because I would hate to have to use another horse. But I suppose better use a differant horse than none at all, right?

It breaks my heart to see him down. He runs for me and he has too much heart to stop if he's hurt. This isn't the first time he's done this. I'll have to be very careful with him. Light riding on the day only. I won't be hauling tail through those timers for a while now, and I found some things I can do to help his leg before and after the run so not only will it prevent him from being lame again but it'll heal the current injuries if they aren't already.

Annie is still being a bit freak-ish. At least Toni is getting those brakes workin' after the lessons. I'm seeing real progress every time we head over there for the lesson. Mom's learning too, and I'm learning whether I'm in the saddle or on the bench.

Rico's learning to trust me more, but I think I'll lay off on the treats. He was so hot last time I rode! At least he's letting me catch him without a fight and I can get him to walk over the tarp now.

Let's see if the progress can continue. :)
