The Xhex Chronicles!

I finally decided that I would start a journal here about my horse Xhex. Here's a little background info on her.
Xhex is a 7yr old Spotted Saddle mare. She's my pretty girl in my avi!
I have had her for about 6mos now. I got her sight unseen. I had a warmblood mare that was crazy, I couldn't ride her let alone go in her stall to groom her without her freaking out. So I decided it would be best to get a new horse. I traded her for Xhex.
I knew nothing about Xhex except that she was black and white with one blue eye and that she was between the age of 4-9. When I first saw her step off the trailer I thought she was just a baby, she was so skinny and tiny. The man handed me her lead rope told me good luck, loaded my warmblood mare up and that was that.
I knew that I took a major gamble on getting a horse like that, but I was lucky. I had the vet out to give her, her shots and asked her how old she was. So she took a look at her teeth and said that she was 7. At least I knew that much about her!
She had the worst ground manners of any horse I have ever dealt with. She would drag you around, would fight you about picking up her feet. She would slam you into the wall and threaten to kick. We had a few "Come to Jesus" talks and she learned real quick you don't do that crap!
First time I rode her she didn't know how to turn. She was just so confused as to why we wanted to do that. Didn't take her long to pick up on that, then we have the problem of not wanting to move forward. Now that is a story I will tell in my next post.
