This is a Brit asking you about Utah, hope you do not mind!

A while back I drove from Idaho through Utah to Col, and was amazed at the harshness of the high dessert. I noticed that most was wired fenced so assume that cattle did graze there, though nothing much seemed to be growing (July time and a heat wave!)

I loved the bleakness and the harsh beauty of the state and fully understand that it is not all like that but, does livestock survive on such bleak land?
