That is pretty much exactly where I live. There are quite a few barns around this area that offer Lessons to both Kids and Adults in both English and Western Disciplines that will also teach you all aspects of Grooming, parts of the horse, and other major information you need to know about horses. I would offer to have you come out to my barn but our barn is not really a teaching facility, it's more of an "I am already experienced" and "I just needed a place to board my horse and ride for fun" type of place. No one here is certified or experienced in training someone, however, if I knew I could trust you, maybe sometime we could meet up and I could teach as much as I can. I know quite a bit but there is always something new to learn. I'm actually hoping to move my horses off that property sometime this year so I can get more out of them by them being closer to me and on a more professionally run property.
Hi! I live in The Woodlands, near Magnolia and am interested in learning about horses. I haven't had the opportunity to be around them but I want to get comfortable enough to learn to ride. Both kids are off to college now so I think it's time. Any ideas you have would be appreciated.
