have you looked at other peoples pastures and seen starving horses? crippled, abandoned horses? where do you think is 'better then slaughter' because people arent breeding horses to go to...

I would much rather that than someone who cant afford to keep their horse to let it loose and starve to death... not everyone has to money or resources for enthenisa.

I don't think the horse is SUPPOSED to like it when you do that.... isn't that the whole point? Your friend doesn't like to be bucked off either but the horse doesn't care. I would have the vet...

If he's a stocky pony i doubt he has any trouble carrying you at all, i wouldn't worry about it! Unless you can see he's not comfortable?
