I ride western. Shelton is pretty much a country town so there are quite a few horsey people out here, but I just moved here like two months ago so I don't really know anyone yet. I love the barn I'm at though.

Had an absolutely awesome trail ride today! I had the honor of being trailered with a friend out to a nearby state park. I had no idea they had so many trails there, and old logging roads. Was crystal clear Fall day and just cracked 70 degree and we could see Mt. Rainier towering over the other mountains. The horses were fantastic. Mac isn't in the best of shape but he is so strong and game by nature that he did well. He seemed more bothered by the downhill. My knees started to hurt at 3 hourse in the saddle, so at 3.5 hours, we headed out and I walked that last half mile to stretch out my ancient knees. The boys did so well, never spooking , never tripping. I am in 7th heaven! I will post some photos soon.

I'm so glad your computer is working again! Yay!
Rainy's improved- turns out she had a hoof abscess, so on Friday we started soaking it in epsom saltwater, and it's slowly but surely getting better. Yesterday it started to drain out, so we're having the farrier come out in either tomorrow or Thursday and check it out, see if anything needs to be done as far as shoes or protective boots. :)
