one thing i like with horses is every one of them is different personality. different in training. different in attitude. few things that horses all agree on.and thats food..water.and fear. i dont believe horses are ever mean. they dont have meanness in them. but when you run across one that is mean.or to pushy.or in your space where you do tend to get hurt. its owner falt. or previous owner fault.some where in there life some one has taught them to do things that hurts people. so with that knowlege. i just use what ever i have to. food..water.. even fear if there an aggressive horse. i got out of commercially training horses for that reason. the normal horse i got was about 10 .was well broke at one time.but owners spoiled them to where they are what people call mean. to get them over that. was way rougher then i tended to like being with them. but since horses arent mean. its pretty easy to keep them from getting over board where they might hurt you. lots of leayway

i call it bucket breaking my horses. so they would walk across burning flames to get there grain..lol.. just had a few get out the other morning and getting them back in with out a rope or halter was good.. the obstical course they had to navigate to get back was cute to watch. just make sure then dont push. nozzle you..lean on you.. any contact from them is not allowed for me. the stay a safe four feet away from me. good luck... ride safe.have a happy safe new years..great drawing..

No problem at all. They're awesome!

I do have a thread in the drawing section, though it's been a little while since I've posted in it. Here it is: http://www.horseforum.com/horse-artw...s-pics-138023/

Thank you very much for the compliment!

Hey you! I have thought of you often! The rain CAME!! It is SO much better here....now they are saying we are still basically in drought for this year due to last year! The first hay cutting was fair to good; now we are slow with rain but hopeful for a second cutting that is like the first! Perhaps a third cutting would even have hay come down at the FEED STORE! Hope all is going well for you and your Mom is doing well. We are all hanging in here...GREAT to hear from you!!

I'm doing well! It's been great riding weather and Mackenzie has been awesome this year! I can take her anywhere with anyone, and do anything with her...as long as I'm willing to walk her across any scary bridges! haha I'm not sure why that one is still an issue. She'll go through the water with me on her, but hates bridges. I'm pretty proud of her, and have my first lesson on her this Tuesday to try to work on some bending and cantering. I've been working on steadying the trot on my own some. How have you been? Riding much?
