Hey you! I have thought of you often! The rain CAME!! It is SO much better here....now they are saying we are still basically in drought for this year due to last year! The first hay cutting was fair to good; now we are slow with rain but hopeful for a second cutting that is like the first! Perhaps a third cutting would even have hay come down at the FEED STORE! Hope all is going well for you and your Mom is doing well. We are all hanging in here...GREAT to hear from you!!

I'm doing well! It's been great riding weather and Mackenzie has been awesome this year! I can take her anywhere with anyone, and do anything with her...as long as I'm willing to walk her across any scary bridges! haha I'm not sure why that one is still an issue. She'll go through the water with me on her, but hates bridges. I'm pretty proud of her, and have my first lesson on her this Tuesday to try to work on some bending and cantering. I've been working on steadying the trot on my own some. How have you been? Riding much?

Thanks, we got there plenty early and yes, they were open. Anna had a good show but the nerves got to her in the ring and they did not place well. Majority of the comments were related to stressed horse/stressed rider but they'll get it figured out in time. The good news is that Anna had fun and is already looking forward to the next show AND as soon as she finished her 2nd test she rode around in the warm-up arena (no longer stressed) and she and Lily looked so lovely! They were relaxed, forward and happy. So it's there, we just need to figure out how to not let it get buried at show time! She is looking forward to some trail riding and school will be out soon!

Any idea what time Bridle Trails opens? The web site says summer hours open at 6:30 a.m. and winter at 8:00 a.m. but I don't know where spring fits in! I've been trying to call the park - their recording for hours doesn't work, so I left a message w/the park ranger and never heard back. I also called the # from bridletrails.org and left a message but didn't hear back from them either. Anna is showing in the morning and we'd like to get there early so she can have plenty of "decompress" time and maybe a 15 minute warm-up walk in the woods. As soon as Anna gets in the woods she really relaxes and gets happy. Stress is not good between horse and rider - especially this pair, lol!!

Hi tiny! Hope all is well! This weekend in moving Ollie "home" couldn't have gone better! I just posted a thread with how great he was for me this weekend and our best ride yet in all the time I have owned him! Would love for you to read it! I'm so proud of Ollie! Hoping to get pictures next weekend of me riding!

    Hi Tiny!

I happened to browse through your artwork posted here tonight, and I just HAVE to say that I believe you have a wonderful knack for really capturing the minute details of each person/animal's facial features such that their expressions appear to literally speak their feelings directly at me! You are incredibly talented...

Switching gears now; I read so many posts on this forum and only write to about 1% of what I read, as I don't usually have much to offer (YET!) in comparison with the other posters who seem to have such good advice---Soon, I hope to be back out there riding up a storm, and ready to offer all of the informed, sage advice of these other longtime riders and trainers-! :0)

In all the reading of posts I do here, though, I always clearly see how good your advice is, and that it is consistently kind and caring.. You are such an obvious asset to an online forum/community such as this one...Thanks for that! ;0)
