- That looks like so much fun! Eddie Ralston (a well-known arab trainer) is in my area and I LOVE going to his ranch. He does mostly working cow, reining, and WP. I'm hoping to get to work there during the summer :)
Our club is called Green Country Arabian horse Association... It is affiliated with AHA so you can get points there & qualify for regionals/nationals etc. etc. But now that I think about it, I don't think Colorado is in our region so I can see why we never see him here ;)
I wish you could go there more often too! Those are some gorgeous horses, and they look very talented too! Plus, Colorado is beautiful! :)
- Here's some pics from when I went this summer:
Hmm, I'm not sure if he shows in Oklahoma. They usually stay in the arab circuit so they can accumulate points. I've always wanted to bring just one of their horses back to Ohio and show them at the county fair, and whip the socks off all the wannabe reiners! LOL! I'd love to get further into reining, but unfortunately I live too far away. I think of their non-retired horses, Estrella, Mr. V, Lizzie, Kracklin, and a few others do the reining, Mozzie does country english pleasure (man, you should see his knee action--he feels like he could just go forever!), Gracie does english pleasure, Psycret (Secret) does Western pleasure, and they have several 2-yr olds, and a few younger horses like Junior.
I just read a post of yours about your uncle's reining arabs in Colorado! :) That must have been so much fun! Does he ever bring his horses to show in Oklahoma? Our arabian club (NE Oklahoma) has shows that include reining that I always attend, even if I'm just watching. You all should check it out, come down and rein with us! :)
