Hi there! I used to live in Rushville, IL.....about 20-30 minutes from Macomb and around 30 minutes to Havana. I am in Oregon now.

We should talk about riding together this summer. DH's business is down bc of the economy so a trip to the Black Hills is probably out for 2012. But, I've got a good friend about 45 minutes from me and I'm looking for some closer and new places to ride this summer in the state. Champaign Co. is a bust--the closest state park is west of Danville. We have 4 acres of turnout and we can ride the fields between harvest and planting. My north pasture is 350'x210', plenty big for most things, and we're flat as a board! Keep in touch.

I've been through Macomb on my way to Keokuk, Iowa. Where do you ride?

No kidding (where youlive!!) I live in the "town that time forgot", Longview, IL. We are in Champaign County, about 22 miles SSE of Urbana. Are you close to Pekin/Peoria? Or do you live nearer to say, Havana?

And how exactly do you plan on weeding out the "criminals and nut jobs" from "normal" people exercising their second amendment right? Trust me, there are many problems in America. I do not think...

I really truly don't understand the logic behind the idea that banning "assault weapons," or any guns for that matter, will prevent these shootings. Since when do criminals follow laws? Posted via...

They are talking about banning guns, so yes that WOULD effect me as a responsible gun owner. Like I said, these laws only make it more hassle for people who follow laws, while those who don't ignore...
