Haha, I know how that goes. It amazes me that they can love it so much even when they are 60+ years old in human years. ^-^ They can definitely age better than we can. For my boy, he would run until I pulled him up (and that would take a while) We used to have a maintained galloping mile straight away, that we would occasionally take the horses too. I used to get him into a canter and then just give him his head and he would go as fast as his legs would take him. He would tire about a 1/4 of the way, and I would end up pulling him about 1/2 way because I can feel he's done but he is refusing to slow down. Then it doesn't help if another horse tries to pass us, competitive too. I just hope that he will slow down before he hurts himself, but will go for as long as his body will let him, if that makes sense? I'm afraid he won't slow down past his body breaking down, and won't show me the signs, though I watch for it.

Thank you! He sure is unique with his markings. He is a huge handful and always manages to push my buttons and also give me the most satisfying experiences. Its the challenges that make the good times amazing. The other day I got a good english canter out of him for the first time (trying for months) and I just about cried xP Ah the joys of trying to breed for color right? Never know what your going to get. xP I LOVED reading about the older arab that you work with/own I can't remember exactly. It gives me hope that Jake will do well into his senior years as he is getting up there.
