Thought I'd share some fun with ya! I let an 11 yr old lesson student take my old reining mare (Jana) to an open show this past weekend, she wanted to contest but her old pony is about as pokey as they come. Jana hasn't been on a set of barrels in probably 8 or 9 years at least.....she ended up winning the open added money with an 11 yr old rider! Walked in like a dead head and came uncorked on those barrels, ended up running a 15.94 in barrels and a 21.32 in poles for 2nd and if only she'd have stuck her flag she'd have had it too! Thought you'd enjoy hearing my old school foundation bred girl rocked it :)

Thanks for your comments :) Woodstock, my guy you like is the last stud colt from our oldest stallion. We sold him as a weanling and I bought him back as a 3 yr old after some not so great treatment. It's been a long road to get him where he is. I've put about a dozen rides on him now and he's doing fantastic :) The gray mare is my hubby's trail mare and my broodmare. She would love to come to your house, I think she'd LOVE to be a barrel horse.
