And finally! Joe Camp
Creator of the Benji movies. You're probably too young to remember though. Anyway her got into horses late in life and just has an instinctive, natural way and understanding with them. The real treasure trove though is in his E books. You can get these for $1. Load them onto your Kindle for PC. If you don't have that it's a super easy and free download, the link is right there on the books page. At the back of the books it's loaded with super great sites/links for horse info and horse people. It's a heck of a deal for a buck!

Excellent information on horse health. Sign up for the newsletter, you're inbox doesn't get loade up and you'll get tons of great information.
An online magazine that you have to sign up for. It's free and they don't load your inbox. The Focus is on upper end vet stuff and you can find a wealth of top notch info here. Great search feature, pdf.s and videos etc etc. It's solid information and you know not some random opinion.
Really great old fashion style horseman. He's very low key, knows his stuff because it's in his blood and always does right by the horse.

This is a wonderful site for horse feet. The horse is no good without the feet. Mary TwelveponiesThis is a link for her book which you can get for around $5 dollars. I don't know how "natural horsemanship" you are or are not but what I like about her book here is that you can learn the basics and trouble shooting. The book is broken up into problem issues and how to fix them. It gives you a baseline to work from. That way you don't have to go to the forums with a problem, ending up with eighty different techniques that likely will make it worse or get you killed. A great bargain!
Ok to get to the point: I have put in links to sites which I think will point you in the right directions and help with some of the things you've asked about in your various posts.
This guy is great. His site is a treasure trove of helpful information. His videow kind of suck in production value and his bedside manner engenders tons of hate mail. He's very to the point and doesn't care about your "feelings." He's just in it for the horse. He also does not sell a single thing. He is ex military, canine unit cop, then a cop on the mounted units. He knows his stuff! At first I thought the videos were the worst I'd ever seen because it's just him talking and watching horses. What I found though was that it was the best education and what no one seems to actually do...watch the horse! Anyway try to get past his rough manner and you can learn more than you would have thought possible.
I commented on your thread "how can I get my horse moving forward." In your last post you asked for some suggestions on the basics. I didn't want to post all this on the main board because I didn't want to 1. start a fan war, and 2. "school" you in public. I wanted to look up your profile and read your other posts before I gave you any suggestions because I don't think it's fair to you to just pop off advise based on one post.
It sounds like you and your dad have several horses and are doing your very best to train them and take care of them. I think that's pretty cool. I also really like that you aren't willing to just give up on a horse when things aren't going perfectly. So many people just bail on them when it's just about always the fault of the human and not the horse. So kudos to you and your dad for stepping up!
Just found out my message is too long and will have to send it in sections.
