- Hi KeroKero - I just joined the forum, and enjoyed reading your adventures with your first horse. It was so nice to read someone's experience of being a NEW owner - I just recently bought my Clyde mare and your questions are the same as mine. I'm going to read all your posts and learn as much as I can before asking questions that might already have an existing answer here! Thanks for sharing!

Posted On: 04-02-2014, 01:47 AMExactly ;-) You do need to buy a rubber backer plate to use sanding discs, but it's only around $10 and I think a 4 pack of 36 grit discs is around $5.Liked On: 03-30-2014, 06:18 PM

Posted On: 03-14-2014, 09:19 PMActually there are few work horses that would suffer much, as hooves grow more with stimulus, as long as the work increase is gradual.Liked On: 03-10-2014, 03:19 PM
Posted On: 03-10-2014, 12:43 PMWow, you got paid the same amount for trimming or for shoeing?? I bet there was a definite push for keeping horses bare in that situation! You don't understand why I don't do *conventional*...Liked On: 03-06-2014, 08:11 AM
