Wow that's crazy, how long has it been like that? Hopefully we both have really good show seasons coming up! Fingers crossed.

Hahaa, yeah, in my next video it shows in the background how low our 5 acre pond is. It's like...2.5 acres now. ANd KAnsas is about 15 inches behind on annual rainfall. And Me too! I'm investing in better leg protection, and doing "once overs" on a weekly basis in the pasture Cuz I've had it with vet bills haha

I didn't know you were in a drought...that must be pretty horrible to deal with having horses! Tell me about it, my ponies are ridiculous, too. Like one thing after the other :/ but I have decided that no one is going lame this summer! I have a good show season planned...

Oh...yeah I know whatcha mean. With the drought we have here in KS, their hooves are dry and cracking, which only adds to the list of problems Frank has And Buck now has a cut on his front fetlock where he over reached with his hind leg haha My horses are problem children.
**Wow ethan, you really just wrote that on your own profile...I amaze myself everyday ahaha

No, I wouldn't trust myself trimming... and I have easy boot gloves, which so far are awesome, but they're kinda temporary until Grace's feet grow out more, then I'm getting some called Renegades. They're pricey, but super nice. I might have to get some glue ons for showing, since the rule is that the boot can't be over the coronary band...

Do you trim your own? And Yeah, I had to out of force. Money issues :\ But it's going to help myself in the long run (or atleast that's what I tell myself) And I want hoofboots! haha I am not a huge fan of the metal and nails and such...does a lot of damage. I have been looking into the plastic shoes that you glue on!

That's awesome that you trim hooves. Mine are all bare, too, but Grace needs hoof boots sometimes, so I have backup. Trying to compete in boots is not going to be fun. They aren't legal yet, so I'm not sure how it's going to go :/

Mostly bare, unless we are going on a long trail ride that has a lot of gravel, but that's usually only a couple times a year. And I know the basics of trimming, but I usually have my uncle watch over me as I'm not confident with it.
