I've never really seen reining up close. I saw this idiot at an Arab show ( warming up for a reining class ) who had like no joke 8 inch shanks on his stud and like 3.5 inch spurs. He liked to use both at the same time very harshly. The poor horse was so scared and confused.

Rollkur is pretty horrible, too. I did a persuasive paper on it...and in my research I couldn't believe what I found. It's so sick! Why don't people just put in the time to actually TRAIN their horses?! Ugh!

Yep! Put them out and they run around all high-steppy and such. Granted, there is a lot of soring and other bad practices going on sometimes, but not always!

Yeah Saddlebreds and NSH's. Not all of them are sored, though...I rode a NSH who was defiantely not sored and she was a really nice saddleseat horse. They have natural knee action, and if you ride them right, they go even higher.

Glad I'm not just thinking that because I ride English. Saddleseat is pretty sick, too. ...but atleast the horses can MOVE.

Oh I'm not really sure how to answer this! I don't ride western really, so I am not exposed to WP much. But when I was on the Arab circut, I was kinda horrified by WP horses/"trainers". I mean, they were YANKING their faces to their chests and they go soooo sloooow. The lopes look horrible, IMO. They barely move and I have NO IDEA what is happening with their hind end.

I guess that's wha I think! I have never seen any WP horses besides Arabs, and I know every breed's standards are different.

Ah, that's too bad. I worked at this Arab training/breeding / boarding/lesson barn for a while. I did the Arab show circut with her. It was like being a child slave! I was worked into the ground. I was going to apply for this local job doing like landscaping, but I can't because my back and neck are so messed up from that job.Horrible!

Haha I bet they would! ...I am homeschooled so there's really no rush. ...this summer there will be. The job I have been offered is almost an hour away...but it's at a tack shop so it's totally worth it!
