- Okay, thank you. I have used him once and I think he is doing a good job, but in case he is not, thank you for the name of the one you use. The guy I had before was really bad and messed my mare's feet up. Are you anywhere near the River Valley Ranch? My trainer is there. She makes a trip out to see my horse, because I won't let her stay away from home for training. Your horse is beautiful.
I saw in a thread that you had, or were going to use Rick Russo the farrier. What did you think of him? I have used him one time and so far think I like his work but I really don't know that much. As much as I try to learn what is right and wrong on a hoof unless it is really obvious I cannot tell.

I live in Lakeside and have a 19yr old Mare. I have had her a year now.
- Someone recently posted a thread on a percheron with a deep split in its hoof not unlike your mares - been like it for maybe 12 years, lots of ideas handed out to her but might be worthwhile telling what was done to your mare to assist 'healing' of the split - obviously cause may not be the same.
