Very cool!! Who was it? In the valley? I hear a lot of pretty good things about her. Haven't met her more then a handful of times, but have heard that she is all around an awesome rider/trainer.
Yep I do! I started doing some work for another trainer but I decided I'm not going to work there anymore and just keep riding at Toni's, love that place too much!
Thank you Tammy :) My husband only has about a year and a half before he ETS's so that's why Im stressed about getting these pre-reqs done! Also, thank you for the compliment on my mare :) I took sooo much work to get to where we are now. I absolutely love her to death!! Sadly, she is back home along with my filly :( My best friend has been riding my mare for me. I am very blessed to have someone who will take care of her like I do. And my filly just turned two today :) She is boarded out at a great place where I trust the people immensely. That's where I started my mare at. I can't wait to get home and get her started. Although, I'm not in a big hurry :)
Aw, total bummer about having to redo pre-requisites! ...You'll get there, even if it takes a bit longer. With a husband in the military, nursing is perfect as it allows you real ease in moving, if necessary, in terms of license transfer & in getting jobs...there are ALWAYS nursing jobs everywhere. I know that is getting ahead of where you are now, but just something cool to think about for the future! And thank you to YOUR HUSBAND for HIS SERVICE as well! Great that he's home, rather than deployed! You are also SO BLESSED to have your beautiful mare with you...I envy you for having such an awesome horse with whom you share a true connection; I so hope to have that, too, someday-ha, even if I'm 50 by then! :0) Anyhow, take care, & my advice re: school (sorry, unsolicited, I know) would be to enjoy the "process" as much as possible, despite any hurdles...(better than the alternative, right? Just noticed in your avatar picture it looks like the Isola arena at the Jackson Country Expo....Do you show around there are a lot? I live in that area :) Love the picture too!
