    The thing is, calling it "roan" doesn't make it roan. Clydedales do NOT carry the "roan" gene, they have something else causing a roan mimic effect. The jury is still out as to if it is being caused...

    Do you know what color his parents are? Because the hint of black on his knee on the front left leg makes me think he's bay or brown, not chestnut.

    Racehorses actually do use both leads, on the stretches they usually switch (depending on the length of the race) to rest the left side. But, it is still quite common for it to be tough to get them...
