I wasn't being facetious when I said practice, it's really the most of what you need, you're already very good and will only get better. It does help to look at art you like and see if you can figure out how they did what they did. Often in art school teachers will assign the kids to copy a master work, to get a feel for how the end result was achieved. Sometimes books or tutorials help, you pick up something here and there. But truly the most important thing you can do for yourself is to draw as much as you can manage between kids and horse and dogs...
