Part of it has to be her own ability and natural talents, and not just the horses. If you're not winning, it's not because she has more horses than you.

I agree with the other posters. I haven't shown in 1 1/2 years and I have improved my riding. There is no reason to show if you don't like it!

No, showing should be its own goal. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to compete. Honing your skills isn't dependent on showing.

Rolling under saddle is one thing that I have zero tolerance for due to the danger it presents to the rider (and the horse). My family was touched in a very deep and personal way by a crushing...
