I'm getting my first draft soon, and I was wondering if you had any advice on what I should look for.
Also, what breed would you recommend? I'd love to hear your opinion - I've heard great things about you!

Thanks for the tip; I'll definitely check them out. Don't know for sure what size I need yet as I haven't decided on a saddle, but I'll hold on to the link until I do :) Thanks again!

Thanks! I love clydes and all draft horses in general. Your filly is darling! I actually just leased out my mare for driving. She is the sweetest soul, loves mints and will push open gates for you when being led. They are gentle giants.

I am getting him back in about two months then i'm having him rode out to make sure he remembers, and i'm going to try and find someone around here that can give me lessons. Plus i have another stud colt now but he's only 8 months old, i think hes going to be bigger than my first one lol

Actually i dont know if what i know and can do would be considered ridding lol I just bought my first horse about 5 years ago, he was a 9 month old belgian stud colt. I had him till he was about 2 1/2 , had him broke to ride and then we had to move out of state so I sold him to the amish. Ive been back here for 2 years now and since then i have went on many trail rides, but cannot do anything more than a trot and that all depends on the horse. Before him i had only a few times where i actually got on a horse. sorry this was so long, i love to talk about horse things lol

hey there, to be honest I began riding when i was 7 years old, so not very big back then. I have always been tall and little heavy but in the last year I have packed on a good 60 pounds due to overeating from depression and inactivity from injury. Now im on the diet from hell lol. But I have found that I am much more comfortable on larger horses, like big drafts and draft crosses as opposed to some skinny little thoroughbred. How long have you been riding?
