Watched the video of the eventing clinic you were in with the 2 different coaches on the thread a while back. Took some of what they said and applied it to my riding. The whole posting slower to slow down the horse....love it! I can get my (lesson) horse to do such a nice slow trot. He is super bumpy to sit to, but now I just slow the trot down and post to make it easier on him and myself. Havent tried the canter counting yet, but might try it soon. Slightly worried about counting the canter as I was taught in a clinic last year to aim for a "meter stick" canter, and I am worried about getting myself mixed up.
