Hi there! Of course I remember you...and I remember the post you're talking about! So happy to hear you're doing so well, and that you've committed to lessons on the side to stay consistant for him! I was much like you...trained my own since birth and we competed in our first dressage test last October - placed 6th among the fancy warmbloods on my 14hh Mustang/Welsh Pony. Work hard and do what's right and you'll come out on top. Glad I could be encouraging...but this update made it ALL worth it! Keep it up and please do keep me posted on your progress! :)
Dont know if you'll remeber, but over a year ago I posted about training my own horse and was slammed for it and you pmed me to say that you thought I could most certainly do it.And I most certainly have! Salem is now the 3yr that the judges at our schooling series look at with admiration as my young horse calmly goes along in western pleasure and trail. We arent the best looking yet but hes perfectly willing and me lessoning on another horse every other week has helped keep me consistent for him.He has better ground manners than any of the other 37 adult horses in my barn and I constantly get complimented on how well Ive done with him.Hes amazing and makes me proud every day :) So I just wanted to say thanks again for the support and positive encouragement!
