Thanks, I used to use a Tom Thumb bit on Spirit, but then I read this article called The Trouble With The Tomb Thumb so I stopped using it. Then he got better, now he's worse . . . everyone says to do a one rein stop, but idk how to do that. Do you know? Same with me, I've ridden saddleseat about 4 times and sometimes I hate it and sometimes I love it. And sometimes I hate western and sometimes I hate hunt seat and then I love both the next day :) :P I rode my friend's saddlebred the other day and she was amazing! I can see why people love them <3

ahh I hate that when horses do that! Idk I like both haha it changes really, one day I'll like western more then saddleseat and then vis versa haha! Our lesson today was basically just a couple of minutes of her helping me lope and it helped a ton! And we took him off the snaffle and put him on a harsher bit (we used to use that for a while and we use it for shows, he needed the change back to the tom thumb from the snaffle) and that helped also. The wonder of bits haha! I hope Spirit starts behaving better for you though!

Yeah, Spirit is being pretty bratty too, he doesn't want to stop . . . he's not responding to his new bit very well . . . or at all pretty much . . . Oooh, I didn't know you and Moon did western, you like saddleseat better I'm assuming though?

Dude that'd be intense! Gah Moon is being incredibly frustrating! I got so mad at him yesterday he has just been givin me bad rides so I'm going to start taking western lessons from the trainer at the farm and take saddleseat lessons from another farm. I've gotten really bad haha

Oooh I like stories ;) Spirit and I don't show. I've shown him once in egg and spoon then again in ride a buck (we kicked butt! lol!) But I never really show him. He's purely a pleasure horse. If I wanted to show him, I'd have to show him in racking classes with old guys with harsh looking bits and horses that rack like crazy and I don't know if he can compete. He can be a brat in the saddle sometimes, especially when people are watching :) He knows when people are watching him so he can embarrass me.

Dang girl that sucks! I'm probably not showing this year (long story XD), but usually we do only one, two, or maybe three shows. They're just little local show. What about you?
