Sounds like a good place! We're dealing with some very bad sand colic at the moment with our minis so its great to hear that if you boarded there, your mini would get psyllium to prevent that. Its nasty stuff.
Turnout with larger horses- as long as they aren't particularely agressive- is absolutely fine. We keep all sixteen of our mares (three full sized horses and thirteen minis) together in a six acre drylot and feed them each a scoop of Purina® Miniature Horse & Pony pellets and mixture of 1/3 alfalfa and 2/3 grass hay. It seems to work really well for us. It really just depends on if your mini shows, carts, works, etc or not on what you feed, though.
