Talking Driving Me Jo for the 1st time!

Just having a "Proud Mom" moment and thought I would share...

Last Fall I did all the ground work training with Me Jo, and ended the season with him ground driving. Snow came too soon and I was not able to get any further with his training....
We picked up this summer right where he left off. He did just fantastic with the travois and our training chariot, and now has graduated to "official" cart horse.
Woo Hoo!
Now my Hubby and I can finally drive together!

I am use to driving Kozmo, who is 35", and thought Me Jo's little legs,(he is only 31"), would make things a little less "exciting", but happily I was wrong.
He really loves to get up and go, and he has a very nice extended trot!

I am posting some pics of our handsome little man doing his thing!

He's so cute! Is he a mini? Or a shetland? I love the little ponies. :)

We think he is pretty darn cute too....

(Yes, he is a miniature horse not a pony.)

Congrats, he looks great! I love your training chariot! :)

I can't wait until it cools off here so I can start my leopard and work on my pinto mare who's been started and driven a few times a couple years ago. I'm jealous you're already doing so! :)

Thanks CheyAut,
Todd will be happy you liked the training chariot, he is really good throwing things together like that, comes in very handy!

Don't be jealous, here in Montana our "driving" time is probably a lot shorter than there, and this year even more so, we had a very late start to our warmer weather.... But we have sure been getting out and enjoying it every minute we can.

Are you starting your new leopard, from your Avatar? He is sure a nice looker!

No, I"m starting Spin. The guy in my avatar, Gambler, already drives. His first year driving he got two 4ths and a 9th in driving classes at Nationals :) I can't wait until he gets here, was supposed to be the beginning of Sept, but the hauler had to move it back to the end of, oh well. Hard to be patient though! LOL

Wish my hubby was handy in throwing things together lol! I'd love to have a chariot. Would be a lot of fun to show in the chariot class at Nationals!

dirtymartini, thanks!
I hope you are driving soon too. You will love it!

FancyAppy, thank you too!
I like the looks of your Auggie too...

CheyAut, oh yes, I've had my eye on Spin! I saw you have him for sale...
I think he will look incredible driving!
If we were closer I'd offer to trade you a custom Chariot for Spin.
Hope Gambler arrives on time, safe and sound. Enjoy him!
