Mouse has a message for everyone and it goes like this
"OMG, my cruel new owner put this black thing around my belly and I sniffed it and jumped a little and she stuck this thing under my tail for a couple seconds and I have decided I DO NOT LIKE THIS!!!"

I put a surcingle on him for the first time, very loose to let him get the feel of it. It is one I start driving horses in so it does has a crupper attached. I put the crupper under his tail for a couple seconds (did not buckle it all the way, just the one side) and he definitely let me know he did not appreciate that! He hunched up and acted like he couldn't walk. LOL, oh the joys of starting a new horse to drive.

I will give him kudos on the fact that I have yet to find anything he is afraid of for more than 2 seconds. His reaction when he is afraid of it is snort once and then try to eat it.
