Introducing myself and my new Mini

Hello All!

I am new to minis and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Stacy and I am the proud new owner of a little yearling colt. I'm going to meet and purchase him on Sunday and it can't get here fast enough.
He already has a few points in halter and color, and I'm hoping to take him further. Being new to showing too, it ought to be an interesting journey :D

Luckily I have a great mentor who is willing to help us along the way.

This is "Finale" (Hope this upload worked!)

what a lovely looking little guy! Good luck to you with him, but be careful! Miniatures are addicting. Before you know it, you'll have two, then three, then five or six!

Thank you, thank you!

I thought you folks were cute comparing them to potato chips saying "ya can't have just one.."

I have a confession to make...
In addition to Finale, I'm getting two super cute 18 year old mares. *blink*
How'd that happen so fast ?!!? :D

More pictures to come Sunday or Monday

Well...one of the mares fell through, the owner decided he couldn't part with her. I'm okay with that, he is a super nice guy!!!
I'm still seriously considering the other one. She was really sweet.
And I met my little colt tonight and we hit it off GREAT!!! My camera batteries died after only two pictures. The first me and "Finale" both look weird and the second was really dark =/ Oh well LOL

I love your mini. I am not very knowledgable about minis, but I know what I like. I DO like the minis that actually look like small horses...refined with well proportioned legs, bellys, head etc.

I see way too much effort on size with the resulting stumpy legged, pot bellied and bulging faced minis. Not dwarfed, but dang close, by all appearances.

I am careful to stay away from them, as I would not be able to stop at one, either.

Thank you Allison!
His looks were what attracted me to him. I wasn't even looking for a mini, but a horse I could ride. I just fell in love with him. I couldn't believe he was a mini! He already has points in color and halter and going to be showing him again in about 2 weeks (so excited!)
I'm going to start teaching him to drive and do obstacles as well to keep him heathy and active
Thanks for your kind words about him =)

Of course I'd love to share some pictures ;-) These are a couple I took with my camera. My camera isn't very good, plus he was doing "mule ears" LOL He is stubborn about putting his ears forward, so these are the ONLY two I got that his ears are somewhat forward haha.. The professional pictures should be up in a few days and I'll post them on here when I get them!
