Welcome and congrats on the new mini! I actually have a very similar story to yours, I got my first mini about 6 months ago when my boyfriend left for training to deploy. He is now also 3 months into a year long deployment in Afghanistan and the main reason I got my mini mare was to keep me busy while he's gone. It helps and she keeps my spirits up. Its nice to know there are other military horse people on here going through the same thing. Have fun with your new mini!

Congratulations on your new boy. He's lovely. I agree with CheyAut. He looks like a silver black tobiano to me. My daughter has a silver black tobiano Gypsy Horse filly. What is his breeding?

I too love minis, I have raised them for 15 yrs.I mostly like paints and you were right to get the sweet one. All of mine are handled from birth up to make people horses. I am expecting maybe 4-5 this year, I have cut back over the years and my new husband is getting into the big horses. Good luck with your baby, you will want more, I guatantee it.
