Horses: 0 | Miniature horse transportation When I bred them and I had transport them anywhere, we used my full sized horse trailer. Now, I no longer own one mainly because I had no use for it. I have been playing around with a getting a small trailer (U-Haul) looking and transform that into a mini horse trailer.
Now this is something I would done professionally so do not worry. I would need to get a devider put in, some windows, vents as well as padding. To look into, it shouldn't be to difficult to do. BEcause it would be under the 2,500lbs limit I know I wouldnt have to add a breaking system in.
To be honest, I don't know for sure that something like that can be done but I do know a lot of miniature horse owners who will carry and put the horse in the back of their truck or have done many other genious things to transport them. Let's put our heads together. http://www.taipeitimes.com/images/20...225183613.jpeg http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1388/...6136cd27db.jpg http://www.paintedsunminiaturehorses.com/amigotruck.JPG |

| Calico trailers, sundowner, featherlite and many others will make you a mini horse trailer to your own specifications. I know someone who bought a 5 horse slant built for minis for less than 6,000 new. That was with trailer brakes, custom paint, custom fenders, slide windows with aluminum bars and bug screens. Plus many extras. Instead of buying one of the u haul type trailers that by the time you are done with redoing it would cost just as much, you can order a 2 or 3 horse load for less than 2,000 custom made to your needs and wants. |

Horses: 0 | There are several nice small miniature horse trailers, also the horse hauler by bob I think it is, let me find a link... Welcome to Wild Spirit Ranch
I think the mini horse trailers are very cute, but I only need to have one trailer and also need to haul my big horses in it, so I just have a tall 2 horse slant. I can fit 6 minis in there if they all get along lol ;) Too bad I didn't take photos of that! |
