Foal
Pebbles lost her foal the other night....

She was to be in between 6 and 7 months, her 2nd foal, had vet out and her drew blood from foal, seems she ! I wanted a filly from her so bad, had some sort of blood disorder, ...seems all I try to do to keep them safe and vetted, something , for some reason this year is horrible, Pebbles is doing fine, she is resting comfortably in her stall, she got a few shots, ....Im pretty upset, over this after everything I had to deal with , Barbie now this....:(....Its hard being a breeder getting so attached to everything you own, I feel awful:(

Here she is , about 2 weeks ago,,,,

I'm sorry! Is it a problem with the dam or just the foal?

Foal
Just the foal, vet said mare is fine, I have just had so much go wrong this last year, sometimes I just want to give up...she will be fine for next season...but still it hurts, my feelings....:( She is looking around on the ground alot....I feel bad for her, I had her in with my 2 year old , but was trying to be motherly to her, so I didnt want to create another issue, now she is back in her stall, and seems to be doing better.

So sorry to hear about the news. I can only imagine what you are going thru. A broodmare of mine lost a foal a year ago, and we almost lost the dam as well. It was a very complicated birth and nothing went right that night.
Glad to hear the mare is ok. Keep your chin up, think of what next spring has to bring.

I am so sorry. It's so sad to loose a horse, even an unborn one. We lost a mare last year. She left us a gorgeous little colt though.
