Round Pen Help!

Hi, so I was told that horses should always have splint or sport boots on when being worked in the round pen. I have a 50-foot round pen and my Quarter Horse mare wears sport boots whenever she is worked in the round pen. But what about my minis? I set up some small jumps in the round pen and they easily jump over them without any problems. Should I put splint boots on my minis? If so, should I buy splint or sport boots?

I have never heard of that saying. I don't think it's true. I work my horses in the round pen with nothing but a halter and they do just fine. I think it's just your opinion on if you want to use them.

The more you get a horse relying on sports boots the weaker the supposting muscles and tendons become. I think splint boots are a good idea as it protect the inside of the leg is struck by the other hoof.

Also my miniature horse does a lot of rollbacks while in the round pen and I have some jumps set up for her also. Do you think this will hurt her joints if she does this daily??
