Question Should I Get A Miny?

So.. I have horse expierience.. But no miny (at least owning) it would only be a companion. It would most likely be this BEAUTIFUL gelding (at least to be gelded) that was a rescue. It wasnt abused- simply never handled. Tips? Im not sure if I will get one.. I just want to know complications.. I know they crawl under fences and get fat REALLY easily but like - whats the best least expensive and easiest miny proof fence? And yeah.. Anything you like/dislike about minys... Thanks loads!! Oh it would be fostering not adopting..
