I think your family would put you in the dog house permanently and stick the mini in there with you!
Haha, you make a good point. I would probably just collect the little guy up and run for the dog house to save them the trouble of throwing me out! My mare played the drums w here feed trough one night at 2 a.m., and I thought I was going to have to pack! So not understanding!

I want a mini, but I am not sure how my mare would treat it..she is not always kind to our dog, whereas my gelding and he are good buddies.

It is a good thing your family was understanding and took your little guy in for "hospice care"....it is kinda convenient to be able to put them in some part of the house!

I never thought much about minis until one day I was surfing the net and saw what I believed to be a horse that had markings very similar to my mare's. It was so well proportioned in the photo that until I opened it up and read the text, I didn't realize it was a mini! So, I fantasized with the "on the couch" eating bon-bons together, thing.

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

I have 2 minis that I am training to drive. They are kind of a fun hobby. We've got a saddle for them and we'll let my toddler son ride them this spring.
